Should new copyright laws be written specifically for AI-generated works?
As AI tools become more involved in composing and producing music, the question of ownership becomes increasingly complex. If an artist uses AI to generate melodies or lyrics, who owns the copyright?

Absolutely, new copyright laws should be considered for AI-generated works. Traditional copyright law is based on the idea of human creativity and authorship, but when a piece of music is generated by an AI, it challenges those foundations. Who owns the rights—the programmer who created the AI, the person who prompted it, or no one at all? Right now, the law doesn’t clearly define how to handle works made by non-humans. That ambiguity can lead to legal loopholes, unfair distribution of credit, and potential exploitation. I think we need legislation that acknowledges the role of AI as a tool, while still protecting and crediting the human creativity involved
